Travel document (eg, passports, etc) are preferred, private identification cards are not supported. 3. The user id's on the key that match the identity document are the ones signed. In case of a photo UID, the photograph has to be that of the person presenting the key to be signed 4. In case of user ID's containing an email, the owner of the key being signed has to demonstrate control over the email address on the ID. 5. In either case, the person owning the key to be signed has to demonstrate control over the private key of the key being signed before being able to use the signature.
